New Position, New Responsibility

I’ve been in the students’ association for two years. Well, it’s quite a long time.

I really love spending my time with my friends on organization. Yeah, it’s nice to get along with various people. Seeing how they developed -well, some walk on the zero-to-hero path, while some heroes turn to zeros in the end- makes me realize that being in an organization really help me improving my soft skills. It’s really nice to be one small part of the big family of English Students’ Association (ESA).

It has been two years; I was engaged to Studi Amal Islam (SALAM) division on my first year, and becoming the head of English Speaking Community in the second year. Just when I was about to stop my involvement in ESA, Susi, my former chief in Deproh told me and some friends to join the BPM. Well, it’s not that we’re good in it actually. I was about to refuse, when I finally realize that deep inside, I felt that still have something to do here, in ESA. I want my juniors in ESC have some guidance, have someone to talk. I don’t want they end up like me, being confused because I had nobody to share my problems.

Well, hope that I’ll be able to get along with you guys.

Assignment, Obligation

This week probably is the climax of the assignments given to us, here in this class. We gotta make some essays for Exploring Prose, submit the modul in this Friday (Well, the modul that should have been developed in a semester, yet we make it within only several days). Hmm, I personally feel the pressure of these things.

I’m not trying to say that I’m sick of the assignments. It’s just that I hate that most of the tasks are group works. It’s not that I hate to work in group. Well, it’s just make me sick to keep hearing such stupid words like: “Why do I have to do it alone?”, or “Ain’t you gonna help me out with this?”.

Well, those aren’t my words. It’s my friend’s. What I want to imply here is that we DO the work together. So I think that it’s only natural to share some jobs, it’s natural that each of us will try to focus with our own work, before helping the others. I don’t know how, I don’t really understand why he keeps talking as if he did all the work himself.

OK, let’s say that it’s difficult to do his part alone. But again, it’s a group work, and he should have known that he can ask the others to help. Just ask, POLITELY.
